Lindsay Identifies with Milkaholism
The New York Post reported Tuesday that
Lindsay Lohan has filed a lawsuit against e-Trade, a financial company whose marketing scheme includes television commercials with babies making investments online (kind of like Geico's "It's so easy, a caveman could do it!" except with babies.). Lindsay claims that their latest television spot has caused her pain and suffering because the boyfriend-stealing "milkaholic" baby named Lindsay featured in the ad was modeled after her. Lohan's lawyer made statements to the press that insist Lindsay is as widely recognized by her first name as the likes of Cher and Madonna, and that the commercial is a blatant parody of Lohan's life.

Buffy Season 8 Will End?!?!

A
recent article published by Comic Book Resources that features an interview with Dark Horse Comics editor Scott Allie, who has worked extensively on the Buffy Season 8 series, states that Buffy Season 8 is "speeding toward its conclusion." My immediate thoughts were, "YOU MEAN THIS SERIES IS NOT GOING TO GO ON INDEFINITELY?!?!?! WILL THERE BE A SEASON 9?!?!?!!? WHAT THE FUCK AM I GOING TO DO WITH MYSELF?!?!!?!" Needless to say, I was not amused by this in the least. I, just like Lindsay Lohan, was forced to endure pain and suffering because they forgot to include the minor detail that Joss Whedon has already promised that there will indeed be a Season 9 comic series.

John Krasinski Will Not Be Captain America
With Marvel Studios on the hunt for their Captain America, the casting rumors are flying around like a band of evil monkeys near a witch's castle. Chris Pine, Chris Evans, Garret Hedlund, and Mark Vogel's names have all been bandied about. And so has The Office actor John Krasinki's. EEEEERRRRRRRRK!!! STOP!!! HOLD THE PRESSES!!! John Krasinki? Really, people? REALLY? This rumor has been out there for over two weeks, which is a super long time for a studio to leave something lying around out there like that (they finally made a statement yesterday, but COME ON!). Which is why I was starting to have a panic attack that this was perhaps one of those rumors that would turn out to prove true and then I would be forced to cry and boycott the film. So, to the rumor-making people out there I say, please, for the love of all that is Marvelous (get it?) at least make your casting rumors SOUND legitimate! Try to refrain from creating rumors that will do more damage to the franchise than good. Seriously.
And THAT was the Week in WTF!
