Lifetime just announced the season 2 premiere date and time for Drop Dead Diva. The network's amazing original series will return Sunday June 6 at 9pm ET.Drop Dead Diva stars Brooke Elliot as a young model who dies in an accident only to get sent back from the gates of heaven and implanted in a "dowdy" lawyer's body. Only two people know who she really is, her best friend and her guardian angel, but who that real self is quickly comes into question once she starts living the lawyer's life.
As I've said before, this show is brilliant, charming, and fun. Every episode puts this character of Deb/Jane deeper into the struggle of "do the clothes make the woman or does the woman make the clothes?" and I love it! The first season ended on a pretty crazy note indeed, and I have been eagerly awaiting the second season. I need answers, Lifetime!!!
Once more with feeling: Drop Dead Diva returns for its second season Sunday June 6 at 9pm ET. Scheduling with the Stars has been updated accordingly.
PS - For those of you looking to join the Drop Dead Diva fun or to catch up or rewatch season 1 (which I highly recommend, of course), the show will be out on DVD in a few months. For now, purchasing episodes from iTunes and Amazon is the only option.
