Congratulations to Sandra Bullock!

So, the 82nd Academy Awards were last night, and while there is much to be discussed (and, believe me, it will be discussed for days...elsewhere) there is just one thing that we here at SWTS would like to say:

Congratulations to Sandra Bullock for winning the Best Actress award for her role in The Blind Side!!!

I love Sandra Bullock with all my heart and soul. I saw All About Steve, I saw Speed 2, and I love her. This is her first ever Academy Award nomination AND win, and it is beyond well-deserved. Obviously, the other lovely ladies she was nominated with (Meryl Streep, Helen Mirren, Gabourey Sidibe, and Carey Mulligan) would have all been worthy winners, but I am just elated for Sandra to finally be recognized and for a project that appealed to so many people in the movie-loving public. Again, I say CONGRATULATIONS!!!



It should be noted that Sandra also won this year's Razzie Award for Worst Actress in a Movie for her role in All About Steve. First time ever for the Razzie winner to be the Oscar winner too? Impressive, yes/yes?
