Real Talk: Me Talking to People

After reading this article about an online petition to get singer-songwriter and Farm Aid co-founder John Mellencamp to run for a senate seat in the state of Indiana, I had the following conversation with friend and SWTS reader K. Fay:

AJ: People are trying to make John Cougar Mellencamp run for senator in Indiana. Just sharing.

K. Fay: SHUT. UPPPPPPPPPPP. NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

AJ: It is true. Cant a man just write jams on his six-string and wear sandals?!?!?!?!

K. Fay: As long as the jams are about America.

AJ: (laughs) "Fort Worth, Texas Intermezzo."

K. Fay: (laughs) Writing that song about America and using it for Chevy* or whatever was the greatest decision he has ever maaaaaade.

AJ: I feel like we should be calling the Guinness Book of World Records. Why? Because we have just set the record for "longest conversation about John Cougar Mellencamp in the last 10 years."

K. Fay: (laughs) Very true.
