Is it wrong I wanted to title this post, "The CW Plans a VD Marathon"?
Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello reported yesterday evening via Twitter that the CW is planning on rerunning all 10 episodes of their new hit series that will have aired by the end of this week. Since they are pulling the show for an 8-week hiatus (what's up with all of the extraordinarily long hiatuses, Cee Dub?), this gives people like me who have developed an interest in the show since hearing all the rave reviews a chance to catch up!
I know nothing about the Young Adult series this show is based on nor do I care to think of how it compares to Twilight (shudders). And the official trailer shown above is actually not even remotely attention-grabbing (found it for this post, didn't see it on TV and get all interested and junk). All I know is that it has been getting consistently high ratings and glowing reviews across the board. I thought about adding it to my schedule back in September after the first episode was a hit, but I told myself I should wait a little longer. Well, I did! And now I get to watch.
The marathon will begin December 14th with the CW broadcasting 2 episodes per night Monday through Friday that week from 8-10pm. If only I could program my DVR that far in advance...
In the words of the great Lloyd Christmas played by Jim Carrey in the 1994 film Dumb & Dumber, "So, there's still a chance!"
